A couple weeks ago I went to a street market in Carlsbad and there was a French section with a stand selling the most delicious cookies: macarons. Before that day, I have never had a macaron. The texture and consistency were perfect. Like a roasted marshmallow coated for a smooth exterior. They are so filling without being heavy and incredibly delightful. The taste was so strong. A Court of Thorns and Roses is a book I would highly recommend reading. It’s a retelling of beauty and the beast but combined with faeries and fae, but with all the twists, I found it to be very interesting and many times, I found myself having trouble putting the book down. However, some parts of the book were slow to help the build up the character relationship between Feyre and Tamlin, and I actually really liked that because it allowed their relationship to build and not be rushed.
